Our long-term vision

A permanent home of our ownSavannah Sound

Our vision is to secure our own permanent location in Savannah Sound: a lasting home for youth sailing, watersports and local opportunity.

A place to build the future

A base of our own would give ESA the stability to grow — a place where children learn, local instructors develop their careers and the community comes together on the water. We want to build a home that serves Eleuthera for generations.

World-class water. Local opportunity.

Sailing, kiting, windsurfing and wingfoiling bring people to Savannah Sound. A permanent centre would connect that appeal with training, paid work and opportunities for Bahamians.

Visitor experiences support youth access

Lessons, rentals and visiting programmes can help sustain free and subsidised sailing for local children. Growing the watersports programme means more opportunities both to learn and to work.

A permanent home in Savannah Sound

We want ESA to have a site it can keep: Crown land or privately secured land where we can build a lasting school and avoid ongoing rent. That stability lets us invest in teaching, storage and maintenance facilities, with more income available for the programme.

Connect nearby development with local opportunity

Residential and tourism development around Savannah Sound creates demand for sailing and watersports. Our December 2025 North Windermere proposal sets out a partnership proposal with the CrossHarbor Capital and Discovery Land Company development: ESA-operated experiences for residents and guests, alongside a permanent mainland community sailing base.

The proposal seeks support to secure land and build a nonprofit-owned facility. Lessons, rentals and visiting-team training would create recurring income and local work, helping sustain youth sailing. The community school will serve local children, with paid watersports services supporting the wider mission.
